Nikon D90 Package

Being an old 35mm SLR user, it was only a matter of time until I graduated from a point and shoot digital to something like this. I love the versatility of this camera and all that's available for it. I'm still in the learning process (and probably will be for a good while) but, little by little I'm getting the hang of some of the many attributes of this camera.

My first draw to this camera was the 12.3 megapixels along with the 3" screen. Viewing each shot on the screen makes it very easy to see if it's one I need to keep or not.... not the case with my little point and shoot with a screen so small you couldn't tell if the shot was in focus, or not.

All in all, this was a great purchase. I plan to add a wide angle lens for the terrific scenic shots I plan on taking on my upcoming trip to Switzerland.... along with a remote shutter release, for those low light situations.

If you don't mind carrying around a case with a few lenses and related garb, this is a wonderful setup. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who's more than a simple point and shoot kind of person.

I am an amateur photographer by far but got tired of missing the great moments waiting for my piece of junk 'point and shoot' to figure out that I wanted it to take a picture. After missing every attempted shot at my daughter's gymnastics meet, I told my wife we are droppin' some coin on a nice camera. I did a lot of web research reading reviews and talking with friends who had nice cameras. I had to go to Bestbuy to handle a few cameras because Montgomery ALABAMA does not have a single camera store......capital city too! NICE!

Bottomline - this camera does more cool stuff than I had realized. Download the owner's manual from Nikon and see for yourself. I will not miss a great moment again. I could go into all of the features but others have done a much better job at writing reviews. I have never owned a Nikon nor a dSLR camera for that matter so I really have nothing to compare it to except my crappy 'point and shoots (misses)'. Try Cameta Camera on eBay because they offer the same package deal as on Amazon but for $40 less. Still a good deal on Amazon with the extra lens, case, battery, etc.

Great item! Very glad I chose this kit, and in particular the D90 itself. Seller was great, shipped fast! I have had an issue with the memory card that came along in the kit (says it's locked when it's not) already, but hope to have a resolution to that through the actual card manufacturer (Transcend). I have been very happy with the items that were included in this kit, glad I chose this one!
